SPECIAL NEEDS

WE NEED TO RAISE $2000 FOR SURGERY

Sonny is approx 8-10 weeks old. He's had a rough start in life so far and he desperately needs your help. This poor kitten was born to a feral mom at a car lot. She had the kittens under a trailer. One of the other cats actually alerted the feeder by swatting gently at his sleeve and lead him to the trailer where he noticed the three kittens. The mother of the kittens was under their with them, but started hissing at him and he thought they looked too young to take from the mother so he left them there.  A few days later he heard the kitten crying and looked under the trailer again and realized the kitten had string wrapped around it's leg and the string was caught on the trailer so he couldn't move.  He was able to get under the trailer to cut the string from the trailer, but the scared kitten ran and hid with the string still tied around the "hock" area of it's leg.  Ming was able to trap the kitten and as you can see by this picture the back paw is dead because the string was so tight and there was no circulation going to that paw. This poor fella needs to have his paw amputated and it's going to cost over $1000 to do the surgery and probably $1000 more in follow up visits.  He's been through so much in such a short time, please help us help him, by donating to this cause.

Please send your donations to:

Forgotten Felines Attn: Sonny Fund

PO Box 430, Valhalla, NY  10595.

We'd like to thank you in advance for your donations.

UPDATE:

If you look closely, you can see where the string is wrapped around his leg like a tournequit which cut off the circulation in his leg, causing the foot to turn gangrene.

This is Sonny Boy a few hours after his surgery to amputate his rear leg. We had quite a scare, it took him a while to come out of the anestesia and was put on a ventilator. We are pleased to say he's doing great. Thanks to Ming, who was finally able to trap him and get him to us for medical attention.

Here is what Sonny Boy looks like today! He is growing and gets around very well. He's not crazy about being held, but will sit in your lap. He's got alot of energy and holds his own with the big boys!
