Kittens season is upon us. We already have kittens for adoption. Everyone has a different view on what a kitten is. Kittens can be anywhere from 8 weeks to 12 months. We do not adopt kittens out younger than 8 weeks old since they need to be weaned from their mother and get their first distemper shot.
7 Kittens born 3/31/11 There are 2 kittens left:
brown tabby females. The one in the back has beautiful markings, this picture doesn't do her justice, she is a bit shy at first. Would like to keep the sisters together.
UPDATE: 1/30/12: These two sisters are still looking to be adopted together. They are now 10 months old and Sandy is more independant than Honey. Please give them a chance.
These two gals came with us to Borders this winter to help raise money for our group. They don't have to be adopted together, but would love a home to call their own. They are approx 1 year old and spayed. 1/30/12: They are 2 years old and don't have to be adopted together.
These 2 boys and 1 girl were rescued as older kittens. They like to be pet, purr but not crazy about being held. They could flourish in a nice quiet home with someone who is willing to take the time to let them adjust at their own pace. All of these cats have unique markings. They follow their foster person around like a dog, all three at once!!
1/30/12: These 3 kittens are still available, they are a little shy at first but love to be pet and will sit in your lap in time. They DO NOT have to be adopted together.

Dottie and Jasmine were rescued from a home in Tarrytown. They both have different personalities. Jasmine(R) loves attention and likes to be held. Dottie(L)is more of an independent kind of gal! They are petite gals and are approx 1 1/2 yrs old.
1/30/12: These two sisters are looking to be adopted together. They are now 2 1/2 years old and still petite.

These two orange fellas need to find a barn home. They've been in foster care for over a month now and aren't really adjusting very well and can't go back to where they came from since they are being trapped and euthanized in that area. If you can help them, please contact joannsadoptables@yahoo.com
They deserve a chance to live. Please note: this is an old pictre they are approx a year old now and still in need of a barn home.
Lawrence was rescued w/his brother(below). He is missing a rear paw, but don't tell him that...he get's along just fine without it. He needs a special home.(Lawrence was ADOPTED 7/9/11)
His brother, Louis (polydactyl), is still looking for a new home...he is a bit on the shy side, but will flourish nicely in a patient home. He LOVES other cats if you're just looking for a companion for your cat.
1/30/12: Lawrence is still extremely shy. I'm sure he would flourish in a single cat home with someone who has patience. If not, we'd love to find a barn home for this little guy...now approx. 10 months old.
